Frequently Asked Questions

How long does each CGM sensor last?

Each sensor is designed to last up to 14 days, but wear time can vary based on your skin, activity level, and how the sensor is applied. Some users find theirs lasts the full 14 days, while others may get closer to 10. That’s why the CGMs are sold as a 2-pack—to give you an extended window of glucose tracking and increase the chance of getting 3–4 weeks of valuable data to bring to your nutritionist.

How do I interpret my CGM results?

The app provides helpful graphs and trends, but understanding what those numbers really mean can be tricky. For example, you might notice a spike in glucose after breakfast and wonder if it’s the food, the timing, or something else entirely. That’s why we always recommend bringing your results to your nutritionist. They can help you connect the dots between your glucose patterns, your food choices, and how you feel—so you can make personalized changes that actually make a difference.

Is a CGM only for people with diabetes?

Not at all. While CGMs were originally developed for diabetes management, they’re now used by anyone who wants to understand how food, stress, sleep, and movement impact their blood sugar. Even without a diabetes diagnosis, blood sugar imbalances can affect cravings, energy, mood, sleep, and weight. A CGM gives you real-time feedback to help you make food and lifestyle choices that support better health—whether you’re managing a condition or just trying to feel your best.

Who do I contact for technical support?

For any technical issues— if the sensor stops working, won’t sync with your phone, or you’re having trouble with the app—please visit https://www.stelo.com/en-us/support for troubleshooting guides and direct customer support to help you get things working smoothly. The STELO customer service phone number is 888-267-9887, option #1 (available 8-5 pacific time, M-F).

Works great!

I've been wanting to try a CGM ever since I first heard about nondiabetics using them to optimize their health. I was thrilled to learn on the Weight and Wellness podcast that it's now available without a prescription. Installing it was super easy, though my only complaint is that they don't include alcohol wipes for cleaning your arm, even though the instructions say to clean it beforehand. I ended up using a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol from home. It was fascinating to see how much foods truly affect blood sugar levels.
