NutriKey DHA-200 contains an essential fatty acid derived from marine microalgae that is crucial for brain and eye support. The DHA found in most fish oils is a secondary source of DHA, from the fish consuming algae. NutriKey goes straight to the source for a more pure, potent, and effective form of DHA.
DHA makes up the majority of the Omega-3 fats in the brain and supports neurotransmitter reception. It is critical for mental, physical, and emotional health and may be helpful for those who want to focus in on issues such as:
DHA is also recommended as a supplement for pregnant/nursing women because it may support:

Why are there white or cloudy flecks in my DHA?
White or cloudy flecks are due to the natural sterenes found in algae. This poses no risk to consumers and does not compromise the integrity of the product.
Steranes and sterenes are derived from the sterols of cell membranes of eukaryotes, mainly algae and higher plants. Based on time of year and depth of where the algae was harvested, these flecks are more prominent. The steranes and sterenes become more coagulated as temperatures drop, so if the softgels are exposed to colder temps white and cloudy spots become more visible.
Why are there brown or red flecks in my DHA?
Fatty acid-based products such as DHA often retain small quantities of fatty acids that have higher melting points (e.g. saturated fats). These oils typically go through a winterization process (e.g. chilling the oil to solidify these fats and filter them out), but a small amount can be retained in the remaining oil. If the softgels are exposed to colder temps brown and red spots become more visible. This poses no risk to consumers and does not compromise the integrity of the product.
